Atan Kundar
Since the Clone Wars, this grizzled old captain has been at the helm of the Blue Sunrise, a heavy-bellied GR-75 medium transport. Originally, he transported cargo for the Republic, and afterward, his commission led him and his crew to haul cargo for the Empire.

His route under both governments was largely the same, leading him along the Ekastorri Route. He and his crew have become familiar sights in all of the starports along the Route, and many times getting his transponder codes is almost an afterthought, as the flight controllers expect him to show up at regular intervals.

Since the fall of the Empire, Kundar and the Blue Sunrise have largely been on their own, as the New Republic has mostly failed to respond to his requests for orders. However, his regularly scheduled appearances along the Route have not ceased, but instead he has taken to being more of a freelance cargo hauler, taking on almost any cargo as long as it doesn't interrupt the schedule, and it is not obviously contraband.

Some rumors persist that the sheer mundane appearance of the Blue Sunrise and its crew allowed them to transport vast amounts of cargo for the Rebel Alliance and several key Rebels. Meanwhile Imperial customs and inspectors just waved the ship and it's manifest through, not expecting anything out of the ordinary. The truth may never be known, as Kundar keeps his silence about any prior clients.

Jesra Nax
Born on Ocastus, she followed in her father's footsteps and became a mechanic, working in the spaceport. Some say she was able to turn a spanner before she learned how to walk.

While most of her fellow mechanics kept their heads down and largely ignored what occurred off-planet, she was more outspoken. She spent many long nights at local cantinas, speaking out against the Imperial treatment of various non-human species. Her friends encouraged her to avoid confrontation and entanglements, but she did not heed their warnings, and several times she was incarcerated for minor transgressions. In short order, she lost her job at the starport and was instead relegated to working on agricultural vehicles.

Emboldened by the destruction of the Death Star, she managed to slip back into the starport while the shuttle of an Imperial delegate was docked and sabotaged the engines. The shuttle exploded shortly after leaving the atmosphere, and before it could dock with the Star Destroyer in orbit. During the subsequent planetary lockdown and investigation, she managed to remain hidden on a few automated farms.

Once the blockade was lifted, she fled the sector and spent much of her time in Hutt Space, working as a mechanic and avoiding Imperial scrutiny. It was there that she developed a number of contacts in the criminal underworld.

After the fall of the Empire, she returned to Ocastus and began working once again in the spaceport. While she predominantly works on engines, she is quite talented with aftermarket additions to cargo holds, creating hidden compartments that are easily missed.

Sakurn Hansa
An outspoken detractor of the Empire, he was a minor political figure on Coruscant leading up to the dissolution of the Imperial Senate. After the untimely deaths of several vocal critics in the months following, he fled the Core Worlds and eventually found his way to Sirassa.

For a few short years, he attempted to keep a low profile, living off of savings accrued through his political career. After a few key investments, he unexpectedly found himself to be one of the wealthiest individuals on the planet, and with that wealth, he vowed to right injustice. He backed a few political campaigns and was ultimately frustrated by the lack of actual change. However, he always restrained himself from being the face of social reform, and instead attempted to work through intermediaries, so as to avoid Imperial scrutiny.

Once the Empire fell, he began taking a much more open role in local politics, although unfortunately, every campaign to lead the planet as Governor has resulted in a loss. He has found that many of the older residents of Sirassa see him as an outsider, a belief that constantly hamstrings his political aspirations. Despite living among them for a decade, they would rather back Serando. It is only among the younger crowd that he has much sway.

He bitterly detests Mertan Serando and believes him to be an opportunistic parasite who used a tragedy to secure his position once and the anti-Imperial sentiment to secure his current position. He believes that Serando is using his authority to live a lavish lifestyle at the expense of the people of Sirassa.
